Our History

TLA was established in 1984 by Thomas Ladisch to provide engineered solutions for the life sciences industry. During this time, many products have been developed to meet industry needs while others are designed to meet a specific customer requirements. After 30 years of business, we changed our business name to Ladisch Corporation, Inc.

Our Leadership

Thomas Ladisch, President and Founder

Thomas graduated with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a minor in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania in 1976. Following graduation he worked in the plastics and pharmaceutical industries and in 1984 decided to start TLA. Through the business, he has participated in many industries including the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology and Food Industries and with emerging business, universities and established businesses like Merck, R.M. Palmer Co., Bristol Myers, Schering Plough, DuPont, Immucell, Salk Institute, Wyeth, and Hanover Foods.


Nikolaus Ladisch, Vice President

Nikolaus has a B.S. and M.S. in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from the Krannert School of Management. He has worked for Pratt & Whitney Rocketdyne, The United States Air Force, NAVSEA and Rolls-Royce LibertyWorks. His experience includes analysis and design of engine combustion flowpaths (scramjet, rocket, gas turbine), supply chain management, system engineering for gas turbine engines and technical strategy.
